Nestled up by the Canadian border in the Northwest corner of Vermont, Missisquoi Valley Union High School serves the towns of Highgate, Swanton, and Franklin. After years of putting money into an antiquated system, the district decided it was time for a mechanical overhaul. The results are a state of the art ice storage system, relocated boilers, upgraded controls, dual fired boilers with wood chip backup, and split system heat pumps. The school now has the capabilities to create ice at night (when electricity is cheap) and store the energy until the next day when electricity is in peak demand. The end result is a more efficient, more reliable, and a better feeling building! We are so happy to help get this state of the art system up and running for the kids at MVU!
