For over 15 years New England Air Systems has been providing HVAC/ refrigeration/plumbing service and equipment upgrades for City Market in downtown Burlington, VT. As business for City Market has grown and the store layout has changed, New England Air Systems has been instrumental in moving and replacing cases, as well as many equipment replacement jobs, in service and construction.
Most recently we worked to replace the two condensers on the Kysor/Warren refrigeration rack and installed variable frequency drives on the fans. The entire refrigeration system needed to be shut down in order to complete the equipment replacement, calling for the removal of all refrigerated and frozen products from their cases. City Market staff temporarily stored these items in temperature conrolled trucks and closed the store for the day so we could complete the work.
The installation started early morning so that we could complete everything needed to get the store back up and running in time. The goal was to have the system back online by 4 pm, so that the City Market staff could re-stock the cooler and freezer cases and we were able to have the refrigeration rack back online by 1 pm.
