New England Air Systems has been working on multiple projects at Rutland Regional Medical Center (RRMC) consisting of an AHU and chiller replacement, along with a complete renovation.
RRMC’s new, custom built Ventrol AHU system was set in a new location and installed with a world class MaxiTherm steam heat exchanger. Due to COVID, a 7500 CFM heat recovery unit was added to the roof and tied into the AHU3. Our shop fabricated ductwork and aluminum jacketing for weatherproofing the ductwork with almost 700 lbs. of aluminum and 8000 lbs. of steel
The 1200-ton chiller we installed required the purchase and installation of a new cooling tower with chiller pumps, isolation valves, and a chilled water piping system. This complete install was finished in just under 2000 plumbing hours.
The renovation we began and are still working to complete, takes place in the psychiatric ward. This included the HVAC system with tamper proof diffusers, plumbing with anti-ligature fixtures, and med gas. Broken into over 20 phases, this renovation is being conducted all while the ward is remaining open for treatment.
