For over 10 years New England Air Systems has teamed up with the Associated General Contractors of Vermont & Skills USA to host a plumbing competition amongst VT High School Tech Center students who are enrolled in plumbing programs. The competition took place at Camp Johnson in Colchester, VT and challenged students’ knowledge on plumbing code, copper soldering, PVC drainage, and mounting plumbing fixtures.
This year we had 5 participants from Stafford Technical center in Rutland, VT and Career Center of Vermont out of Barre. The competition was fierce and everyone wanted to win, but it was also encouraging to see the students work together to problem solve issues they have not encountered before. This is just one example of New England Air Systems commitment to growing Vermont’s plumbing trade talent.
